INDIAN FUSION FORMATION: Level 2
April 23-28, 2025
6 Days Intensive Dance Training - 35+ hours
Dancers inspired to move deeper will continue to firmly root and refine L1 vocabulary as well as adding a lot of new material and compositions in L2! While ideally we can dance together with symmetry, coordination and identifiable style… the final result of the program should be a self-empowerment and confidence to continue to create on your own with a solid base. Choreographic tools and ways to manipulate movements will offer more creative scope to dancers within the aesthetic of Indian Fusion.
L2 includes the opportunity to experience traditional training in Indian Classical dance to gain experience in a traditional Indian dance context. Students will establish the stylized movements in your body through application, and develop a rich understanding of aesthetic principles that guide this dance style through deeper study of underlying structures of dance.
This training will expand your ‘dance literacy’, empowering you to have more critical conversations about/within dance. With an increased toolset in choreology, movement principles, musicality, expression/interpretation, choreographic tools and aesthetics, a dancer is able to critically assess the movements at hand in this style and eventually develop movements and dances of their own while remaining within the style.
Level 2 puts a lot more responsibility on dancers in their creative process. If you are not familiar and proficient with IFF Level 2 material we have found Level 2 will be difficult. You will need to be prepared.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Passing score on Level 1 test and completion of homework assignments is required to join this course.
*NON REFUNDABLE, EXCHANGEABLE or TRANSFERABLE.
